Day 01 : Flight & Drive - Arrival New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) – Gangtok
On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport will be met by our office Executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok (130 Kilometres / 04 hours) - Check in and over night stay at hotel. (Meals : D)

Day 02 : Drive - Gangtok
A half day sightseeing covering Rumtek Monastery - It is the seat of the head of the Kagyuap order of Tibetan Buddhism, the Gyolwa Karmapa. Built in 1960, it is one of the most sacred and wealthy monasteries in the North East Himalayan region. Close to it is the Karma Nalanda Institute of Buddhist Studies (KNIBS) and nearby is a small hall featuring a beautiful jewel studded Chorten, which contains the remains of 16th Gyolwa Karmapa. Rumtek monastery was in international news during the visit of Nobel laureate Dalai Lama - Droul Chorthen, Research Institute of Tibetology - it houses vast collection of rare Lepcha, Tibetan and Sanskrit manuscripts / icons / Thankas. An attractive museum with over 200 Buddhist icons and other prized objects of art are preserved here. It’s an international study centre of Buddhism and its philosophy / religion etc. Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (Closed on Sunday) & Flower Show are on the slate. The flower shows / exhibition in Gangtok is in a well - planned, held in an enclosed greenhouse and is located near the White Hall Memorial Complex is a big draw. The flower shows in different seasons focus its own riotous hues, from carpets of Orchids to the glorious blaze of rhododendrons and azaleas down to the subtle golden shades of autumn. Day 03 : Drive – Gangtok to Yuksom - Yuksom (151 Kilometers / 5 ½ - 6 Hours)
Yuksom is the old capital of Sikkim where the first king was consecrated in the year 1642 A.D - It also has the oldest existing Monastery built during 1700 A.D , Visit Dubdi monastery, which is situated on the top of a hill 300 meters / 1000 feet above Yuksom. The fir - clad mountains provide a majestic background. Founded by Lhatsun Chempo, it is the oldest monastery in Sikkim. Overnight stay in hotel. (Meals : B, L & D)

Day 04 : Trek - Yuksom to Tsokha– Yuksom (1780 meters / 5840 feet) – Bakhim (3005 meters / 9859 feet) – Tsokha 15 kilometers – 6 ½ - 7 hours
Morning after breakfast start the first leg of trekking to reach Bakhim - The trail from Yuksom to Tshoka runs high above the rivers through lush forests – Through gorge, dense mixed jungle with magnolia, rhododendron, ferns and several varieties of orchids, and birds, One cross the Paha Khola bridge, (1,733 meters / 5,685 feet). The track is a gradual ascent and descends through the dense forest following the Pairag Chu - Overnight stay in trekkers hut / camp. (Meals : B, L & D)

Day 05 : Trek – Tsokha to Dzongri - Tsokha (3710 meters / 12,172 feet) Dzongri (3962 meters / 12999 feet) – 12 kilometers – 5 to 5 ½ hours
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Dzongri along a well marked track - Initially the track climbs steeply, but as the track is through fascinating rhododendron bushes running riot with color, one may not feel the climb - Arrive at Dzongri - Overnight stay in trekkers hut / camp. (Meals : B, L & D)

Day 06 : Rest - Dzongri (3962 meters / 12,999 feet) – spend the day at leisure - Rest at Dzongri
Early rise and before dawn one has to climb to a point on a ridge above the campsite to watch the sunrise on Mount Kanchendzonga, Mount Kabru, Mount Pandim, Mount Rathong and the Kanchendzonga range. Back to Dzongri. Overnight stay in trekkers hut / camp. (Meals : B, L & D)

Day 07 : Trek - Dzongri to Thangsing
Dzongri (3962 meters / 12999 feet) – Thangsing (3800 meters / 12,467 feet) – 8 kilometers in 3 to 3 ½ hours - Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Thangsing - One can have fantastic view of Mount Kanchenjunga, Mount Pandim, Mount Kabru etc. on the way - From Dzongri pass one has to actually descend to reach Thangsing - Overnight stay in trekkers hut / camp. (Meals : B, L & D)

Day 08 : Trek – Thangsing to Lamuney
Thangsing (3800 meters / 12,467 feet) – Dhafay Vhir (4110 meters / 13,484 feet) – Lamuney (4000 meters / 13,812 feet) / Lamuney – approximately 8 kilometers in 3 to 3 ½ hours – Camp at Lamuney 100 meters / 330 feet below Samiti Lake - Morning after breakfast start trekking - Simiti is one of the high altitude fresh water lakes found in the lap of mighty Himalayan ranges - This is also considered a very sacred lake - Camp by the side of the lake or at Dhafay Vhir. Samiti Lake is used as a reservoir of water for the wild life hence we prefer not to disturb them and to stay at camp in Dhafay Vhir. (Meals: B, L & D)

Day 09 : Trek – Lamuney to Goecha La back to Thangsing
Simiti Lake / Lamuney to Goecha La and back to Thangsing - 14 kilometers in approximately 6 ½ - 7 hrs, the trek starts with easy grading but has a steep climb just before the lake. We come across Chemathang and Jemachang (which means plain land of sand). The trail goes through accumulation of sediment, or rock fragments that is deposited by a slowly creeping mass of ice called glacier / moraines before reaching Goechala one can view green lake formed right below the path deep down the hill, and one reaches a point to view southern phase of Kanchendzonga - Dinner and retire at Log hut / Camping in Thangsing (Meals : B, L & D)

Day 10 : Trek – Thangsing to Tsokha
Thangsing (3800 meters / 12467 feet) – Tsokha (3710 meters / 12,172 feet) – 5 to 6 hours - Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Tsokha - The trek winds its way along the river Pre Chu – this place is forested and wild life is abundant so spotting of wild life is there hence one has to move in group – Dinner and overnight stay in log hut / trekkers hut / tents. (Meals : B, L & D)

Day 11 : Trek – Tsokha to Yuksom
Tsokha / Chokha (3710 meters / 12,172 feet) – Yuksom (1780 meters / 5,840 feet) – 2 to 2 ½ hours - Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Yuksom - Rest of the day free to visit the oldest monastery and the surrounding area – Gala party - Overnight stay in hotel. (Meals : B, L & D)

Day 12 : Drive - Yuksom to Darjeeling
Yuksom (1780 meters / 5840 feet) - Darjeeling (2134 meters / 7,001 feet) - Approximately 125 kilometers – 04 ½ – 05 hours Darjeeling - Morning after an early breakfast drive to Darjeeling – The route is scenic and the drive is enjoyable. The roads are good and enjoyable. Evening free to stroll around Mall in the heart of the town - Check in and over night stay at hotel. (Meals : B, L & D)

Day 13 : Local Sight Seeing at Darjeeling
Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (at around 4 AM) to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather) - On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop (an Engineering marvel). After breakfast half - day sight seeing of Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & Tea Estate. Over night stay at hotel. (Meals : B, L & D)

Day 14 : Drive - Transfer to Siliguri next to – New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB)
After breakfast proceed to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) - (100 Kilometers / 03 hours), for your onward connection / journey. (Meals : B & L)

Yuksom to Goecha La Trek – Treks are arranged from Yuksom to Simiti Lake, one of the high altitude fresh water lakes. From this lake, one can climb up to the Goecha La pass, and view the majestic splendors of Mount Kanchendzonga, Mount Kabru and Kabru Dome. Also, starting from the Simiti Lake, one can trek through Thangsing, Dzongri, up to Tsokha, where the Rhododendron trails starts.

This is one of the most popular treks in Sikkim and is also one of the most fascinating also. Yuksom is a historical place and was the earlier capital of Sikkim and it is also acts as the entry to Kanchendzonga National Park. The trail passes through moss - laden forests of oak, chestnut, pine, maple, magnolia, rhododendron and many other varieties of pine culminating in the meadows of Dzongri at an elevation of approximately 4,000 meters. It is a naturalist's paradise. This forest is home to many varieties of wild plants, exotic orchids equally spectacular varieties of birds and butterflies. One can come across one or many of the Himalayan Black Bear, Barking Deer, Musk Deer, Marbled Cat and the Red Panda. This has one of the most varied forms of plant and animal life.
